Fall

On that October evening
The street lay yellow and brown
Yet again round and down
I saw the leaves swirling

It danced in the soft breeze
Reminding me of Russian Ballet
Joined another to make a due'
Of the two wanting the moment to freeze

Fallen on the autumn bed
Detached from that firm wood
Of the tree that high stood
With the others barren and naked

Cold are the days; even colder
Are the nights when we hug the quilts
There's then the winter whilst
It does little to make us bolder

And after that spring will arrive
Refreshing all the surroundings
Bringing greenery with no boundings
While happiness itself will thrive

Although it isn't so soon
Yet everything does happen
Just like there's peace after a battle
And after every bane, there's a boon
