Beginning of another year,
Lovely festivals to lure
Let's see what's in store 

It's so cold in Jan
In warmth of Lohri and Makar Sankranti
No need of AC and fan

Feb is for blossoms in sunshine
Gentle gale, soothing winds
with tinkling wind chimes

But March, I'm so exited
Holi the festival of colours
with fun, frolic and fervour

Next in April arrives Baisakhi
Well, I don't celebrate
But does so my every punjabi mate

O merry in month of May
Is the biggest festival
Well, it's my birthday
Cheers and hurray

Month of June
I don't care
'coz all the fun
Of vacation waits there

Janamashtami in August is there
I roam in city all round
And dance to celebrate everywhere

Oh dear! September is exam time
Boring studies beyond nine

Dusshera and Diwali
In October and November
Most favourite festivals of mine
Only leisure time on every mind

Memories of Jesus Christ
Bring Christmas in December
Santa, the symbol of kindness
We shall always remember.

And oh! The year is over!!
Well, it will be never
For the new one is here
With more joys to share!
